Midnight Sun Outfitting is one of the last northern hunting concessions to offer horseback hunting trips. Every year we trail in 35 horses into the vastest wilderness of the northern Yukon. This expedition takes 12 long days of riding to get our horses to the furthest north camp where your hunt begins. When you arrive, your horse will be ready to take you where you need to go to get the trophy of a lifetime. Past hunters agree that our horseback trips are unmatched. To say the heritage of northern hunting and mountain hunting belongs to the horses is an understatement. It’s the best way to travel for experience and success, especially moose hunting in the fall. All of our horses are very safe, and we welcome all calibers of riders to join us and learn the old school way of hunting. Riding into the high alpine or up beautiful willow draws is hands down the best way to explore the Yukon and harvest a great trophy.
Backpack Hunt
Our backpack sheep hunts are a great way to be extremely mobile and get the full experience of the real mountain sheep hunt experience. While they are very physically demanding, they can also be the most rewarding and can put you into parts of the country no person has ever been. All hunters have access to the Super Cubs to help move you to new areas and explore many options.
Raft Hunt.
A combination of floating and backpacking is a unique way of travel in the north and a hunt that’s in very high demand. It is a style of hunting that not many have done, and once one does will be hooked. We float many different river channels and can hunt over 300 miles of river for both Sheep and Moose.
Archery Ground Blind Hunt.
Have you ever dreamed of hunting a caribou or moose from a ground blind in the Arctic? It almost doesn’t sound real, but we do it. We hunt over very high trafficked mineral licks that offer an extremely high chance for success at the right time of year.
